Transparency regarding artificial intelligence

Kyo Conseil integrates artificial intelligence (AI) both in its consulting services and, in some cases, in the operation of the kyoconseil.com website. In the interest of transparency — and in accordance with the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (L.R.Q., c. P-39.002), as amended by Law 25 — we explain how AI is used, our commitments, and your rights.

AI on the website

AI may be used in a limited way to improve the content, performance or user experience of the Site (for example: writing assistance, basic technical analysis). Important details:

  • No decision is made entirely automatically with respect to you (no decision having legal or significant effects).
  • No automated profiling of your person is performed.
  • AI-assisted content is subject to human review before publication.
  • Your personal information sent through the contact form is not used to train AI models.

AI in our services

Our AI strategy services aim to guide you in the responsible adoption of artificial intelligence in your organization: use-case scoping, process automation, assistants and chatbots, data analysis and team training. Every AI deployment is carried out under your governance: we define with you the purposes, the safeguards and the responsibilities, and respect your internal policies as well as the applicable law, including Law 25 when personal information is involved.

Our responsible AI commitments

  • Transparency: you are informed when AI interacts with you or influences a decision.
  • Human oversight: a person is accountable for the design, deployment and monitoring of AI solutions; important decisions are always subject to human review.
  • Privacy protection: data minimization, security, and strict compliance with Law 25 obligations.
  • Fairness: verification of model and data biases to avoid any discriminatory decision.
  • Reliability and security: testing, monitoring and correction of anomalies in deployed systems.
  • Confidentiality: your data and ideas remain your property; they are never reused for other clients.

Your rights (Law 25)

When AI is used in a context involving your personal information, you have in particular the right to:

  • Be informed of the use of AI by a service provider in a contractual relationship, and obtain the nature and scope of that use;
  • Object to the use of your personal information for the purpose of automated decision-making, including algorithmic analysis, having effects concerning you;
  • Require the intervention of a person for the review of a decision made automatically;
  • Require the cessation of the use of your personal information for the purpose of feeding an artificial intelligence system;
  • Object to the creation or maintenance of a profile concerning you based on personal information;
  • Withdraw your consent at any time and, where applicable, require the destruction or anonymization of your information;
  • File a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI).
